Welcome to:
Michael Paul Thiry Sculptures
Vision: The magnificent and varied colors of our landscapes,
gardens and homes are monuments to nature and are at the same time a contrast to
nature. I see the end goal of my work as bringing these disparate elements into
harmony. I envision sculptures which will naturally, as is possible, blend with
a home and garden setting. It is my vision to create sculptures which exist
apart and yet always in concert with nature. The vision must never overwhelm but
always complement the setting both indoors and outdoors.
Inspiration: The greater part of the inspiration for my sculptures comes
as a result of experiences and sensory observations that I find in my own
gardens. The twisting of the vines, the visiting birds, the night creatures, the
dewy leaves, the fluttering butterflies and the breezes orchestrating the dance
of the flowers are only a few of the garden occurrences which constantly
activate my imagination and serve as my inspiration.
